Creating A Site

To create a site on HiveTracks Bio: 

1. Visit https://bio.hivetracks.com/dashboards on your computer and sign in or create an account.
2. Once you are signed in, navigate to the Site page on the top-left of the screen.
   
3. To create a site, press the New Site button.
   
4. Write the name of your site and provide its location by entering an address in the search bar or inputting your site's general coordinates. 
   
   
5. Next, define the boundaries of your site using the tools on the left side of the screen. If you would like to move on without defining a boundary, you can press the Skip This Step Button
   
6. To create your site boundary, start by selecting the Add Boundary Button
   
7. After selecting the tool, click anywhere on the map to create your first vertex. From there, you can continue drawing the boundaries of your site using points. To complete the site bounary select the first vertex again. 
   
8. Use the Edit button to click on any point within your boundary and move it if necessary.  
   
   
9. If you would like to delete your site and redraw the boundaries, use the Erase tool. 
   
10. Once you have completed drawing your bounadries press the Continue Button and select the site organization style that best fits your project.
    
11. If you selected Drop pins and tags, first place a pin in a distinct habitat on your site. 
     
12. Next, name this pin, select the most appropriate habitat, and choose a color for the pin. Repeat this process for other habitats on the site.
    
13. Once you have finished designating pins for your site, press the Continue button. 
    
14. If you selected Drop pins and tags, first place a pin in a distinct habitat on your site. 
     
15. If you selected Segment site and tag, first draw the boundaries for a unique habitat on your site. 
     
16. Next, name this segment, select the most appropriate habitat, and choose a color for the segment. Repeat this process for other habitats on the site.
    
17. Once you have finished designating segments for your site, press the Continue button. 
18. Next, select whether you would like to manually place monitoring points for pollinators and flora, or an automatic monitoring plan. 
    
19. If you selected a Monitoring plan, please specify the frequency and intensity at which you would like to collect data at your site. 
    
20. If you would like to be more specific with the distribution of data collection points on your site, press the Optional dropdown. 
    
21. Once you are ready, you can press the Next button to finish creating your site.
