Quadrats

To start collecting data for Quadrats in the field: 

1. First, make sure a sampling method has been created for your site, and Quadrats have been placed.

       A) You can check for this on your site's overview page 
    

2. On your mobile device, select your desired site for the Quadrat data collection
    
3.  Once on your site's page, press the corresponding start button for the Quadrat you would like to visit
   
    

4. Using the provided in-app directions, navigate to the start of your Quadrat in the field
   
   
   5. Once you have arrived at your Quadrat, you can hit the Take Quadrat Photo to begin. 

        A) If you cannot perform a Quadrat here, press the I can't collect here button 
   
   
   6. Use your camera to take a picture of your entire 1x1 meter Quadrat
   
   
   7. Take a picture of a flora observation in your 1x1 meter Quadrat. 
   
   
   8. After documenting a flora species, report how many are found within the 1x1m quadrat and add any notes if necessary.

   
   
   9. Continue this process until you have documented all of the flora species within your Quadrat
   
   10. Once finished with taking observations in your Quadrat, press the Done button
   

   11. On the Quadrat Overview Page, sync your observations by pressing the Sync Now button. 
   
   
   12. Fill out the bare soil percentage and any notes for your Quadrat. Once you are finished, press the Complete button. 
   
   
   13. To record data for this Quadrat again, scroll to this Quadrat on your sites page and repeat the process.
