Honey Stories and Harvest Profiles help you showcase the origin and quality of your honey with transparency, storytelling, and traceability—all the way down to a QR code on the jar.
🍯 Honey Story
A Honey Story is like a short biography of your honey and your beekeeping operation. It includes:
- The name of your apiary or honey batch
- A description of your beekeeping practices
- Location details (city, state, country)
- Number of hives
- Photos, videos, and other relevant info
This gives customers and partners insight into where your honey comes from and who’s behind it.
📋 Harvest Profile
Once you’ve created a Honey Story, you can link it to a Harvest Profile, which adds more technical details about a specific honey harvest. This includes:
- The apiary and hives used
- Date or season of the harvest
- Type and amount of honey
- Floral sources and other characteristics
- Location preference and batch info
You can also select and link specific records from your HiveTracks data to provide proof of activity.
🔗 QR Code Connection
After publishing your Harvest Profile, you can generate a QR code that links directly to it. Add this code to:
- Product packaging
- Marketing materials
- Sales pages or farmer’s market stands
This lets customers scan and discover the full story behind each jar, boosting credibility and adding value to your product.
Bonus: If you enable Authentication, your harvest data is also stored securely on a public blockchain via Hedera, adding a layer of proof and transparency.
