Groups in HiveTracks Pro are a way to collaborate and share apiaries or biodiversity sites with other people. They allow you to manage who can view and contribute data within a shared environment—whether you’re a casual beekeeper, part of a club, or running a business.
There are currently two types of groups in HiveTracks:
🐝 Clubs
- Each member can share their own apiaries and sites with the group.
- Ownership remains with the original user, not the group.
- The group admin can assign other members to help monitor and add data to these shared locations.
This is ideal for:
- Friends and family sharing apiaries
- Beekeeping clubs
- Informal collaboration groups
🏢 Businesses
- All apiaries and sites in the group are owned by the business group admin.
- The admin manages the setup and assigns members to specific locations to contribute data.
This is ideal for:
- Sideliner operations
- Teams managing multiple apiaries or biodiversity sites under one organization
- Centralized control over data and responsibilities
💡 You can always filter your dashboard by group to focus only on the data relevant to that team or organization.
